Currently, China has become the country with the fastest-growing urban rail transit system in the world. While China’s rail transit construction is booming, numerous problems and weak links have also been exposed in rail transit projects across various regions. For instance, the installation and construction of equipment, facilities, and components are often carried out in a rather rough-and-ready manner, leading to severe damage to the civil structures of subway tunnels. Corrosion of parts and components is extremely common, significantly shortening the service life of these projects and increasing both the difficulty and cost of daily operations and maintenance. These issues have increasingly drawn high attention within the industry, prompting efforts to explore and implement appropriate countermeasures based on drawing upon the successful experiences of developed countries abroad.
